JEM Group begins construction at the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank in Williamsport, PA

 Earlier this month, JEM Group began renovations at Central Pennsylvania Food Bank’s Williamsport facilities. The work includes 11,000 square feet of additions and a total of 29,000 square          feet of interior renovations for the distribution center that includes site work, construction of concrete retaining walls and foundations to support new metal buildings, renovations of existing building, installation of a demonstration kitchen, structural, mechanical, plumbing, and electrical upgrades and other renovations.

Derick Fritchey, Director of Operations at the Food Bank commented, “This is a transformational project for the Food Bank; from a warehouse to a Healthy Food Hub.  Our capacity will double and we will be able to distribute more of the most nutritious food to people in need.”

Jessica Meyers of JEM Group remarks that “we are thrilled to be partnering with our friends at Central Pennsylvania Food Bank on another project that will improve lives throughout Pennsylvania.”

The project will be completed in November.
