Design Begins for Middletown Volunteer Fire Department

The Middletown Volunteer Fire Department has hired JEM Group for its additional and renovations project at 10 Adelia Street in Middletown.  Design is currently underway with construction to begin sometime in April.


Work Begins at Dutch Wonderland

JEM Group has begun work at Dutch Wonderland's Castle Restaurant Expansion project.  The project includes a 4600sf design-build restaurant fit-out, including sitework, demolition, concrete, structural steel, millwork, roofing, doors, finishes, new commercial kitchen, sprinklers, mechanical, plumbing and electrical upgrades.  Work will be completed sometime in May.


JEM Group Announces New Employees

JEM Group has named Mike McKay as Project Manager/Estimator.  Mike has more than 20 years of experience in the construction industry.  JEM has also hired three new field personnel - Dan Koser, Sean Gallagher and Denny Albert.  These gentlement will be supervising construction projects in the field.


Forum Place Building Work Continues

JEM Group continues its work at the Forum Place Building in downtown Harrisburg, including HVAC, sprinkler and electrical upgrades to the 1st, 7th and 8th floors and relocation fitout of the building's facilities manager's office.


JEM Group Completes Project at PSCOA

Work at the Pennsylvania State Corrections Officers Association headquarters on Front Street in Harrisburg is wrapping up.  The project included a, 8400sf office restoration due to recent flooding, including drywall repairs, flooring, ceilings, wood doors, paint and cabinets.


JEM Group Hired for Several Projects

Elwyn, Inc. has once again hired JEM Group to perform a kitchen renovations project at 2003 North 3rd Street in Harrisburg.  The project includes renovations to (5) existing kitchens and will be complete in January 2012. 

JEM Group is working for Trinity Lutheran Church to renovate its stage at 2000 Chestnut Street in Camp Hill.  The project includes modifications to their multi-purpose room and will complete by the end of February 2012.  ByDesign Consultants of Camp Hill is the architect.

An exterior alterations project, including roof replacement, at the Mid-Atlantic Builders Exchange on Front Street in Harrisburg will begin in January. 

JEM Group was awarded a contract by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania to replace the revolving doors at the Rachel Carson State Office Building.  The project includes demolition of existing doors, removal, refinishing and resetting of existing granite pavers and installation of two new revolving door systems. The project is scheduled to be completed in May 2012.


Ballest Realty Hires JEM Group for Harrisburg Post Office Project

JEM Group has been hired by Ballast Realty, LLC, a corporate affiliate of Equilibrium Equities, Inc. of Blue Bell, Pennsylvania, for construction project management services.  Ballast has recently purchased the former Harrisburg Post Office at 813 Market Street.  JEM Group's work will include supervision for removal of existing postal equipment and building maintenance in and around the 237,000sf building.  The work will continue into 2012.


JEM Group Continues Work at the Central PA Food Bank

JEM Group continues its work at the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank at 3908 Corey Road in Harrisburg. The project includes the addition of a 28,000 sf warehouse and renovation of their existing office space. Groundbreaking occurred on August 3 and completion is scheduled for April 2012.
