JEM Group was selected by the Harrisburg Regional Chamber and CREDC as one of the CREDC Fab Five. In this competition, five young businesses are promoted as CREDC's entrepreneurial stars for one year. The "prize package" includes invitations to and introductions to all Chamber/CREDC functions, a group of advisors, signage for the place of business and promotional assistance through the Chamber and CREDC.
Jessica E. Meyers was recently appointed to the United Way of the Capital Region's Board of Directors. Meyers has held many volunteer positions at United Way and currently serves as co-chair of the Bridges Society.
The Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center hired JEM Group to renovate their existing Cardiac Rehab Facility. The 7,600 SF facility will be complete late Summer 2008.
Jay Weikel was recently hired by JEM Group to serve as a Project Superintendent. Weikel brings with him over 30 years of construction experience.
JEM Group has been hired to convert the 2nd floor of Café Fresco on 2nd Street in downtown Harrisburg into a upscale nightclub/lounge. The lounge will open in May 2008.
JEM Group was hired by Hershey Entertainment & Resorts to build a new to build a new restroom facility at Hershey Highmeadow Campground. The project will be complete in May 2008.
The law firm of Stevens & Lee has hired JEM Group to expand its office space in the Market Square Plaza office building. The project was completed at the end March
Hershey Entertainment & Resorts hired JEM Group to renovate its Human Resources department at Dutch Wonderland, Lancaster. The project was complete in February 2008.
Penn Center Harrisburg, LP has hired JEM Group to act as its owner's representative for two renovation projects at Penn Center located on North 3rd Street in Harrisburg.
Harrisburg University of Science and Technology hired JEM Group to serve as their general contractor for an expansion project at Strawberry Square and the Harrisburg Train Station. The 21,000 square foot project includes classrooms and administrative space. Construction will be completed by August 2007.
Earl Fernbaugh, Superintendent; Gary Dobbs, Superintendent; and Randy Myers, Carpenter were recently hired by JEM. Each of these individuals brings a wealth of experience to the JEM Group team.
JEM Group recently completed renovations for a new coffee shop and restaurant in downtown Harrisburg, PA. — Java's Brewin. The project which is housed in the Payne Shoemaker Building at 3rd and Pine Streets included a new kitchen, service bar and seating area.
The Immanuel Alliance Church of Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, hired JEM Group for additions and renovations to their facility. The project includes a new main entrance, canopy and welcome area. Construction will begin in April and will be completed in July.
DeRamone Plastic Surgery Institute awarded JEM Group a contract to expand the space of their current practice at the Fredricksen Outpatient Center in Mechanicsburg, PA. The project includes a 3500 square foot fit-out expanding their patient rooms. Construction will begin in late April.
Jessica E. Meyers was recently appointed to the Board of Directors of AAA Central Penn. Jessica also serves as President of the Harrisburg Young Professionals and on the Board of the Harrisburg Regional Chamber.
JEM Group has been awarded the contract to perform additions and renovations at The Railroad Corporation (TRAC) headquarters in Mechanicsburg. Construction will begin in late February and will conclude later in May.
The Central PA Food Bank recently selected JEM Group as general contractor for the additions and renovation of their facility. The project includes a 2nd story addition and renovation to the existing facility. The Architect for the project is Willigerod MacAvoy of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Construction is scheduled to begin in April.
JEM Group was selected as general contractor to expand the practice of Medical Arts Allergy at the Fredricksen Outpatient Center Mechanicsburg, PA. Construction will begin in January and conclude by March 1, 2007.
JEM Group was hired to perform fit-out work for Pinnacle Health System at 900 Century Drive in Mechanicsburg. The 3700 square foot space will house a Physical Therapy practice.
Additionally, JEM was hired to fit-out 910 Century Drive. This project will house the Pinnacle Health System Family Care Center.
Tim Werner, Operations Manager, and Chris Bonifacino, Project Manager, recently received LEED accreditation by the U.S. Green Building Council. The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System™ is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high performance green buildings.
Bonnie Berkoben joined the JEM Group team on November 27, 2006 as Controller. She will be responsible for managing all aspects of JEM's accounting and finances. Bonnie has a degree in Accounting and 10 years of experience in the construction industry.
JEM Group has been awarded the contract to perform fit-out work at the ReMax Realty Professionals office on North Mountain Road in Harrisburg. The project includes the fit-out of a portion of the 3rd floor of the building. JEM constructed the original building has completed several additional fit outs for the owner.
JEM announced that the Pennsylvania Department of General Services has certified JEM Group as a Woman Business Enterprise. JEM Group is a construction firm that provides general construction and construction management services.
JEM Group recently hired John Hunt as Carpenter/Forman. John brings with him 10 years of experience in the construction industry.
JEM Group was recently hired by WCI Partners, LP to renovate 2 buildings at 202 State Street in downtown Harrisburg. The project will include converting a historic residence into commercial office space and converting a former physician's office into retail space. The project will be completed in January 2007.
JEM Group was hired by Elywn Development to completely renovate apartments at 2003 N. Third Street in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. The project will be completed in November 2006.
JEM Group has been awarded the contract to perform the general trades portion of the new Dickinson College Science Center in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. The new 87,000 square foot facility will house the biology, chemistry, and psychology departments for the College. The total project is approximately $30 million and will be completed by January 2008.
JEM Group will be constructing the fit-out of new office space for Heritage Medical Group at 3 Walnut Street in Lemoyne. The new 2000 square foot Exam Center will include exam and procedure rooms. The project was completed in October 2006.
