New construction of a 45,000 SF, 49-unit community for seniors 62 years and older, situated at 6th and Herr Streets, two blocks from the Capitol Building in the city of Harrisburg. Using PHFA low-income housing tax credits, affordable housing presented a perfect opportunity to meet economic needs through sustainability and functionality on a brownfield site. Prefabricated panelization solutions were crafted with precision to benefit the build on the tight corner, urban landscape. A multi-purpose community room will accommodate programs for supportive services, resident activities, and the community. Amenities also include on-site management offices, maintenance areas, and laundry facilities.
